Vastu Bedroom Tips

Vastu Shastra is believed to be a sanctified science which provides a stress free life to the people. As per vastu, every side possesses its own features which get passed on the different rooms of a house. It is very much needed to keep harmony and problem free in the bedrooms where people spend their time escaping the uncertainties of the world. So it is needed to decorate the bedrooms as per vastu rules.

There may be several bedrooms in the house. It is important to place the bedrooms in proper position. It must be followed strictly where the married couple lives and children live.

Bedroom for the family head should be in the West or South-west part of the house. West side windows are good for master bedroom. Married couple should also live in south-west bedroom. Married couples should not use any north, east, north-east, south-east bedroom because it may result unnecessary quarrels between them.

Children or young members should not live in south-west corner bedroom. Children should use west or east side bedroom.

The South – West side bedroom must be bigger than the other room of the house.

Television should be avoided in bedroom. Otherwise, any such electronics goods should be placed in south or south-east corner. South-west corner should not be kept vacant. Sofa should not be placed in the bedroom.

Wardrobe should be placed in the north-west or south-west of the room. Dressing room should be placed in the north, east or north-east corner of the bedroom. Colour of the paint should be pink, blue, grey, green or white.

If a bathroom or toilet is attached in a bedroom, then that should be in the west or north side of the room.

The door of the bedroom should be of one shutter as far as possible. It should be in the east, the west or the north. There is no harm if there is a small window in the east and the north. Almeries, showcases etc. should be in the south or the west walls. Door of an attached bathroom must always be kept closed.

Vastu does not allow a bedroom towards the Southern – Eastern side. It is preferable to shift the room to the Southern – Western, Western or Northern – Western side of the house. If there is no option then place the bed away from the Southern – Eastern corner. Sleep in this side may leads and adverse effect to the natives.

Sleeping direction is also an important factor as in Vaastu. If one sleeps with head towards West then it brings prosperity and fame. If one sleeps with head towards east then it brings family happiness and reduces differences among family members. To become wealthy one should seep keeping head in the south direction and leg in north. Head in north direction brings peaceful sleep but not known to be auspicious and it reduced the energy and length of life.
